Guided tours

Regular guided tours

Our guides are students at Uppsala University and study everything from Celtic languages to medicine. Follow them on a tour and learn more about female pioneers, student life then and now and scientific discoveries.

September 1 - June 10
Guided tours are given on Saturdays and Sundays at. 13 in English and at. 15 in Swedish. The tour is included in the entrance fee.

June 12 - August 31
Guided tours are given every day, Tuesday - Sunday, at. 13 in English and at. 15 in Swedish. The tour is included in the entrance fee.

Regular guided tours on weekends and during the summer might be cancelled due to special programme or events.

Book a guided tour

Book a guided tour in Sweden's largest university museum. Gustavianum is the home of Europe's third oldest anatomical theater and to the world's only complete preserved art cabinet together with Viking swords, Egyptian mummies and Celsius's own thermometer.

Our guides are students at Uppsala University and study everything from Celtic languages to medicine. Follow them on a tour and learn more about female pioneers, student life then and now and scientific discoveries. The museum has a wide range of views for different types of groups. We will gladly adapt to your needs as much as we can.

A guided tour must be booked no later than one week in advance. Cancellations should be made no later than 24 hours prior to the announced visit, otherwise the display fee will be charged.

For schools

Tuesday – Friday, 9.00 – 16.00: SEK 400 per class

The price applies for a guided tour which takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. The same price also applies for visits without a museum guide. The visit must be booked no later than one week in advance. Cancellations should be made no later than 24 hours prior to the announced visit, otherwise the fee for the guided tour will be charged. Unfortunately, we do not accept bookings for Mondays when Gustavianum is closed.

The same price applies to all school forms, such as preschool, primary school, secondary school, adult education (Komvux and folkhögskola) and Swedish for immigrants (SFI).

Cancellations

Cancellations should be made no later than 24 hours prior to the announced visit, otherwise the fee for the guided tour will still be charged.
