Collaboration

One of Gustavianum’s roles is to be an arena for the University’s collaboration with the rest of society: the Museum is where the University meets the outside world. Our collaboration is rooted in the University’s extensive collections and the research and teaching at Uppsala University. Each term we offer a varied programme of guided tours, talks, family activities, public debates, and performances of music and theatre – with a theme linked to a particular scientific topic or area of work at the University. We produce larger, temporary exhibitions drawing on current research, and students from the University arrange special events at the Museum. Schools are an important visitor target group and we offer special programmes and guided tours tailored to students from preschool to high school level.
