Incorrect story about Gustavianum in Huffington Post


Last week an incorrect story was published in the online newspaper Huffington Post. A mummy head on sale was said to come from Uppsala University collections. This is completely false and the University does of course not trade in human remains. Huffington Post and the Victor Wynd cabinet of curiosities (presumptive buyer of the mummy) have gotten the University mixed up with a private individual who, for a period, worked at Gustavianum. We have been in contact with both Viktor Wynd and with Huffington Post, asking them to correct the facts of the story. Read about our policy for handling human remains at:
